Dover is the UK's second busiest cruise port, used by P&O, Princess Cruises, Holland America and others. The port offers two dedicated cruise terminals and is easily accessible from Kent, East Sussex and South London.
Portsmouth handles a smaller number of cruise sailings, primarily with Brittany Ferries, MSC and occasional Royal Caribbean calls. The port is straightforward to access and less congested than Southampton.
Harwich serves Stena Line to the Netherlands and is used by some cruise lines for round-Britain sailings. Located on the Essex-Suffolk border, it is a longer journey from Surrey but well within our service area.
Tilbury is London's cruise terminal, located on the Thames Estuary in Essex. It handles Fred Olsen, Saga and various expedition cruise lines. A relatively short journey from Surrey via the Dartford Crossing.

We know the layout of each terminal, the best drop-off approach and the correct time to arrive for each cruise line's embarkation schedule.
From central Surrey, the journey to Southampton takes approximately 75-90 minutes under normal traffic conditions. We always plan a sensible buffer to ensure you arrive in good time — ideally at least 60-90 minutes before your check-in window opens.
Dover is the second most popular cruise departure point from the South East. Its proximity to Kent and East Sussex makes it a natural choice for passengers from Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding area. P&O, Princess Cruises and Holland America Line are among the regular callers at Dover.
